This self-portrait attempts to make beautiful of the recurring situation where I feel most ugly and out of control: when blood is gushing out of my nose.

My Pandora's Light Box project seeks to combine an ancient myth with contemporary technologies like computer generated art and lasercutting to remind us that even with the ease of modern technology, we still need to weigh what other kinds of consequences it may have.

Essentially just Scott Pilgrim vs. The World  fan art with a line from the movie

October Self Portrait represents a time in life when  sadness seems all consuming. The bust uses my own dimensions and uses tissues that I had cried on to depict how sometimes it feels as though sadness makes up your entire being and you are made up of nothing but tears. For those of you wondering, YES it was about a break-up! Even though I've grown and learned a lot since, this was the first piece that I ever created in art school and had displayed in a real gallery, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Through My Eyes installation physically recreates the emptiness that depression has created in my mind. Viewers stand in the hanging black box and look out the window to see their voided silhouette in the disorienting video clips from my life, constantly being confronted by the idea that something is always missing. This is definitely one of my favorite things that I have ever created.

Memes are High Art Too is a silly acrylic painting that aims to take part in the complex dialogue that is "are memes considered art?" Also, to get even sillier and break the heavy breathing-esque stress that comes with art school, I had to wear a matching outfit to my son on the day I debuted this piece.
